Contemporary ideology atomizes society into disrooted individuals. We have stepped down from the ideological grip of (dis)information overload and questioned elements of control apparatuses, rearranging and appropriating them, changing their purpose — transforming them from measuring into expressive instruments*. We tied them into a machine that through turning on, switching over and interruptions forms an instrumentarium that clutches motion, image and sound into a collective experience. This live whole of activated individuals compose mutual feedback loops in deepening the shared feeling of connection.
Join us on thursday, October 2nd and/or October 9th at 8PM in Cirkulacija 2, plug in and become part of the machine.
O is an experimental series of events that join music, video and motion for the 15th consecutive year, is a work in progress and as such stays open.
* House assembled sensor packages translate orientation, acceleration and position data streams, coupling and processing them into levers for live steering of our instrumentarium, converting bodily motions into generated video and soundscape.
