Schedule
Wednesday, August 6th
Opening
19h Hannah Koselj Marušič SHE’S A 10: Becoming the Image; In this second iteration of SHE’S A 10, the artist engages the body as both subject and medium in a live inquiry into beauty as a performative construct. Through self-styling, digital documentation, and the material residue of textile imprints, the work foregrounds the tension between intimacy and spectatorship. Poetry functions as both score and voice, layering personal narrative over visual ritual. The gallery space becomes a site where embodiment is fragmented, rehearsed, and archived.
20h Zsuzsanna Szegedi-Varga, intermedia artist and researcher, presents a live performance “GONE/ReDONE – replay?” as she revisits her internationally exhibited erasure project “GONE/ReDONE”. In this intermedial yet critical piece, the artist explores how the act of erasure transforms when it moves from the tactile into the digital — from presence to virtual recursion, from formal representation to abstract. What remains when the physical is displaced but not gone? Drawing on philosophy, materiality, and the politics of representation, Szegedi-Varga invites us into a space where absence is no longer reduced to “void” — a regulatory variable exploited by symbolic recursion — but instead functions as a felt condition of relation, memory, and longing. A featured moment from the original performance also appears on the cover of The Politics of Unbelonging by Andreja Zevnik and Andrew Russell — extending the conversation on erasure, belonging, and embodied realities. rest? rewind? replay? What escapes symbolic circulation?
