After successful week in Zagreb Cirkulacija 2 initiative  returns to local tactical activities. We will meet on wednesday 20th June 2012 a bit after 20.00 hours.

We will host two separate artists and their separate projects. Both are rooted in sound – but not exclusively. Ana Raquel Pereira is a young artist from Portugal presenting her video made as part of her studies as Erasmus exchange student at School of Arts of University of Nova Gorica http://vsu.ung.si. Konrad Gęca is also quite young sound artist from Krakow/ Poland, whom we recently met in Zagreb.

In the last week Cirkulacija 2 has completed the Zagreb part of Total Art Platform series in Pogon Jedinstvo gallery/ Močvara in Zagreb. During the evening the video-, audio- and photo- documentation will be show – shot during 7th to 14th June in Zagreb.  More on C2 in Zagrebu >>

21.15 Ana Raquel Pereira – ‘Sweet Home Ljubljana’ (around 15min)

This is a project that take us on a trip through the voices and favourite secret places of 11 individuals from different countries currently living in Ljubljana, Slovenia. These are the images and sounds presented in their everyday life in this city that its not their own. These are their faces, expressions and voices giving life to my poem, allowing it to travel and reach different people, languages and cultures, breaking many boundaries. This is their soundtrack in connection to a poem that takes us on a journey through the drops of rain in Ljubljana, trying to escape the storm and reach finally our home to rest from all the struggle outside. Beautiful diversity in this new home sweet home. Photography and audio project, presented in a video composition.

followed by (21.45): Konrad Gęca – field recordings

Self-taught musician, promoteur. He creates electronic music and video art based on field recordings collected for nearly ten years now. He uses dictaphones, turntable, objects, contact microphones and trumpet plugged into mixing console which is his main intrument. With his latest project “Based On a True Story” he played at the AudioArt Festival and was touring around Europe as a member of the project Exploratory Music From Poland on Tour. For last four years he’s been organizing „muzykoterapia” (music therapy) concert series promoting experimental music in Krakow.
